The Project has three main objectives:
- Planning the new integrated coastal monitoring network to be compliant with the WFD and MSFD requirements;
- Propose the proper Institutional network and suggest technical competences required;
- Build a data base for EPA needs to collect information from past scientific projects and future monitoring programs
The Project will offer the Montenegro EPA and Ministry of Environment with a Master Plan for the monitoring of the coastal area of Montenegro considering the oceanographic, atmospheric, hydrology local water cycle and urban water discharges. In addition it will consider the possible Institutional framework on which to build the competences to construct the monitoring program and it will implement an EPA database for the management of collected data (both historical and real time). The project will be concluded with a training workshop for EPA personnel.
